History of our company
1929: The founder and the first president, Motoji Kobayashi opened Kobayashi Store selling fresh fruit and vegetables in at a market in Nagoya.
1930: Company specislize as wasabi wholeseller.
1933: Began producing powdered wasabi
1937: Named the powdered wasabi products as "Kinjirushi wasabi", and "Ginjirushi wasabi".
1952: Established Kinjirushi Wasabi Co., Ltd. (Incorporated)
1968: Completed Abashiri factory (Hokkaido area)
1971: Developed "Kinjirushi Prepared wasabi"
1972: Released "Kinjirushi Prepared wasabi packet"
1973: Developed "Kinjirushi grated wasabi" for the first time in the industry.
1981: Received award for Good Food Hygiene Facilities from the Japan Food Hygiene Association
1982: Received award of Food and Marketing Bureau head from Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan
Received award from Health and Welfare Minister as a superb facility as to food hygiene
1984: Opened a representative office in Los Angeles
1988: Recieved award of Good Company
1994: Completed Okhotsk (Abashiri) new factory
1995: Released new variety of wasabi, "MISAWA", and resistered to the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Ministry
2000: ISO-9002; 1994 approval JQA-QM4435
